Valentino Rossi is leading the Moto GP Championship at the moment but he is still looking for improvements, hallmark of great champion isn’t it. After being humbled in the opening race of the season at Qatar by Ducati rider Stoner and Pedrosa’s Honda, Yamaha and Rossi are working overtime to improve the engine especially for the straighter circuits. With next two races scheduled to take place in Turkey and China known for long straight tracks, this alteration in engine can boost the Rossi chances.
Five-time Moto GP champion is presently leading Casey Stoner by nine points and Dani Pedrosa after winning the Spanish Grand Prix but tough races in Turkey and China will surely test the caliber of Rossi. Straight circuits normally require lot more control on the bikes and that is missing in Yamaha’s repertoire at present. But if engine improvements have made control a bit easy - then that’s good news for Rossi because he will then be driving a complete package suited for all conditions.
